Joseph B. Monday of Wauconda, Illinois died on Sunday, September 22, 2013 at Journeycare, Barrington, Illinois. He was 89 years old. Joe served in the Army during WWII becoming a sergeant and was
awarded the Bronze Star. He then went on working in the tool and die industry later becoming a certified carpenter as a permanent trade. He had a passion for golfing and dancing and was also a long-time member of the American Legion and Moose Lodge. Joe is survived by his two daughters, Deborah Hassinger and Denise Monday, daughter-in-law Sally (Rea) Monday, grandson Ronald B. Czarnota, granddaughters Tracy Czarnota, Ashley Monday, Lindsay Monday, and twins Stephanie and Jenna Monday and two great-grandsons; a brother, Lawrence Monday and his sisters, Mary Booth, Elma Niebuhr, Patricia Jaskot, and several nieces and nephews. A private veteran's memorial presentation and celebration will be held on Saturday, October 5th.
