Albert Vernon Boetticher Jr. of Lincolnshire, IL died on July 6, 2014.

Al was the devoted husband of 68 years to Barbara Jane Boetticher (nee Parker).

Albert was born to the late Albert Vernon and Gladys B. Boetticher (nee Hamlet) on March 19, 1924 in Muncie, Indiana. Al earned his BA and MBA in Business from the University of Chicago and a J.D. from Loyola University Chicago. He was a veteran of WWII, serving with the US Navy and stationed in Pearl Harbor.

Al was hard working and made significant contributions to companies such as the Budd Co. and ITE and Gould in Philadelphia and retiring a Secretary and General Counsel for Brown Bavaria a wholly owned Swiss Subsidiary of Gould. He brought meticulous detail to everything he did and was passionate about his work. Al played hard too. He was a talented artist and musician. He spent his leisure time delighting people both with his trombone but most especially playing the piano. He sang in his local church choir, and barbershop club. He enjoyed sailing his boat on the Chesapeake, playing tennis and reading. Al and Barbara also enjoyed spending time with family and close friends.

Albert is predeceased by his son, Karl Boetticher and in addition to his wife, Barbara he leaves his daughter in law, Gina Boetticher (nee Arcari) of Palatine, IL, and daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Dick Greene of West Chester, PA., Wendy and Herb Colby of Stratham, NH, Gail and Rev. David Stokes of Jamestown, RI and Leslie Boetticher and John Holmes of West Chester, PA. and 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Brother to William. Loving Uncle.

A memorial service is scheduled for 10 AM August 8 at St. Edward Episcopal Church 206 N. Midland Joliet, Il 60435. Burial will be private. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made in his name to the charity of one's choice.
